OK - my last post was about spring break... 2 1/2 weeks ago and about 2,000 photos. Just to catch you up to speed with our adventures...
Returned from Thailand (it was beautiful and fantastic) yes, I need to smilebox some photos....
24 hours later, picked up Mom and Dad (wahoo!! We were as excited to see them as we were about the muffin mix, ramen noodles & fruit loops! Just kidding!! For me the best was the american deoderant, pitiful, I know.)
72 hours later, picked up Grandad (aka Greatgrand) (the 94 year old who gallivants around India using airplanes like taxis)Quick family tour of Santhome Basilica ! in Chennai (doable by all parties - even t
he most senior & actually enjoyed by all)Ate out at various restaurants (sometimes 2 per day while being hosted by Grandad/Greatgrand)
72 hours later, said ta-ta to him as he toddled off to Hyderabad...Switzerland...Kansas then ultimately to his "home" in Tennessee (honestly, he's more comfortable bouncing around all of India, literally)
Toured Mahabalipuram with mom/grandma and dad/papa (and melted)Enjoyed a family Easter service on the roof… complete with special music by Dad on Trumpet
Easter lunch at Asiana (nothing says “special event” like going to a “5” star hotel for lunch)
Go to yet another Olive Ridley Turtle hatchling release – still magical and exciting!
Back to School (volleyball for
Jamie & track for Joey)Root Canal for Mom (come to India… get a root canal!? Well, it worked for me so why not!)
