Happy Birthday JOEY!!!!

Another landmark has been met - Joey is officially a teenager. His focus these days seems to be food, with electronic games a very close second. Anna's birthday follows later this week. In preparing for the week...updating my favorite color coded white board!... I mentioned cupcakes for the kindergartners for Anna. Joey sheepishly grins and plea-fully asks, "can you bring cupcakes to my class, today?" I melted and said, "of course". He was so genuinely happy to share with his little class (last class of the day only has 9 students!) and with his Principal & teachers he could track down!

At home, our celebration was a quiet one... had to be as Mondays greet us with the plethora of activities after school. All good ones: The girls are taking Brananthyam dance (traditional Indian Dance), Alina then does "Swim Club" (a form of developmental swim team) while Anna waits jealously! Joey and Jamie are on the soccer team. Yesterday's practice had an exclamation mark of a quick monsoon-ish cloud burst. I would rather call them cloud dumps - just simply a soaking rain! No lightning nor thunder makes for a fine day for soccer & swimming. We enjoyed a coveted box of mac & cheese with hamburgers (patties from a secret source ;) ) And of course CAKE - Joey's current favorite: Better Homes & Gardens "Busy Day Cake" with my new found favorite chocolate icing. Happy birthday, Joey!
