Driving in Chennai

As we un-loaded at the school curb one day, a friend pulled up behind us and achieved celebrity status IMMEDIATELY... she was driving herself. (a freedom I admit I coveted, right then and there) All of my kids were impressed. I'm going to paste a link to her blog below. Thanks, Jill!!
Technically, I'm "not allowed to drive". (It's a company thing) I keep telling myself that if I had to, I could. Thank goodness, I haven't had to find out. (so far, knock on wood)

Well, another friend of mine was over during packing this week and their new car was driven up by her driver... all blessed and everything. She couldn't resist to sit in the driver's seat.. then we (she driving, me checking the side of the road) actually drove around the block... what a hoot. Cricket kids laughed and waved as they cleared off of the road. The "committee" of driving supervisors (3 drivers, a security dude & the dog walker from across the street) looked on in amazement. "Madam is driving." HA!
