The international school the kids go to, here in Chennai, is good at using all sorts of methods to instruct the kids in the various subjects. The middle school has them making videos A LOT. But Friday, Joey came home with the task of making a model of the Arc de Triomphe (as in Paris… for French class),… for some reason, he chose to tackle this at 9 PM Saturday night. (No, it actaully was NOT due the next day, the next day being Sunday!!! The moment was just right to tackle it ... in his mind! He researched it earlier, thankfully!) I was past tired, so useless. Dad, the engineer, came to his rescue. The best bit was the sibling comments this morning as he finished it up…
“What’s that for, geometry?”
“That’s so cute!! We can use it for our pet-shops?!”
“That’s cool. Can I make one, too?!”
So, the girls had fun making their own project… and a bit of a mess on the floor… it was all fun!
Then the next project had Jamie “making gold nuggets”… in comes a helper!
